Prompt: Talk about a time when you had to write a poem, whether it was for an assignment, event, or special occasion. What was the writing process like for you, and were you proud of the finished product?

Prompt Response: Once I had to write a poem for my Literature class sophomore year. My teacher asked us to focus on an object that we interact with every single day. The writing process was a tad difficult because I decided to write about my glasses. I had a really bad writers block trying to write that poem. At the end of it I was satisfied.

Summary: Today we read "Constantly Risking Absurdity".

Reflection: I learned how to analyze a poem to find the deeper meaning. It will help me be able to analyze any literary piece I am reading.
